GLDS Training Step-By-Step
Information
The Like code table is used to maintain codes that are later used to link items through the Like code field of the Price table.
eSuite's default Like Code behavior will normalize all like codes to 13 characters in length when created.
Like codes are used where there are multiple flavors of an item at the same cost, such as chips, gum, pop etc. Using Like codes can greatly speed up item maintenance and the creation of promotions, since it is enough for you to change only one of the items in the group and for the system to request an automatic application to all the other items with the same code.
Display the Like Code table
The Like code table is available from the launcher in the following eSuite modules: Care, Manage, Buy and Sell. In the Batch module, the item auxiliaries are available from the Auxiliaries entry in the launcher.
To display the Like code table:
Create a like code
You can create a like code record from the Like code grid or from the Like code table.

Delete a like code
To delete a like code:

Once created, the corresponding like code number needs to be assigned to the Like code field in the General tab of the Price table.
