GLDS has created a tool called MI Liquor Management for stores to use to keep Liquor pricing updated in their systems. This document will describe how the MI Liquor Management program works.
MI Liquor Management is used inside of SMS Pro, and is used in conjunction with Item Maintenance. First open Item Maintenance [Price Only]. Next click the “MI Liquor” drop down menu at the top of the screen and select “MI Liquor Management”.
Your screen should now look something like this:
The main MI Liquor Management box that pops up is a summary window. This menu will show you a summary of the liquor items in your system. It will show you how many items are below state minimum, above state minimum, or at state minimum.
If you click the number “2” that you see in this picture that are below state minimum, it will pull up those two items in the browser window so you can easily adjust the pricing manually as needed. This works with all of the numbers you see in the Summary window.
The state minimum price is stored in the SRP field in the price window.
The system compares the SRP field with the Regular Price field in the price window to determine if items are above or below state minimum pricing. (Older version of the MI Liquor Management program used the Instore price field for custom pricing. This method will no longer be used. If you have custom pricing, just use the Regular Price field from now on, and set the CP flag in the Status field to indicate custom pricing. More on this later)
This main summary page is intended to give you a quick snap shot of your liquor items in your system.
