MI Liquor Management

MI Liquor Management is a tool created by GLDS that helps you manage your liquor pricing. The state of Michigan publishes a file on the internet that includes all liquor items sold in the state of Michigan and their mandatory minimum pricing. Price changes happen quarterly, and it can be a burden for retailers to change the prices in their pos system. So we created this tool to help with the process. The tool goes out to the internet, grabs the file, then allows you to pull in just the data that you want to help program item pricing for you. The tool also makes it easy to search for liquor items so that you can apply your own pricing to them. For example, you can search for all the shot sized liquor, and add 15% to these items based on the cost, all in just a few clicks. 


What it does: 

1. Downloads the state minimum pricing for all liquor items sold in the state of Michigan. Into the SRP field in item maintenance. 

2. Programs all liquor information from the liquor book into the pos system including size, category, cost, etc. 

3. Allows you to search for liquor items based on size, category, or price. Example: All vodka above state minimum. 

4. Custom liquor reports.

5. Allows you to import only cost increases or decreases as needed, or price increases and decreases as well.

6. Summarizes all liquor items so you can easily see how many items are at, above, or below state minimum pricing. 

7. Allows you to easily set your own pricing for certain liquor items as needed.
