Dataset not in edit or insert mode
This error occurs when you double click the POS Description box in the POS table in SMS Pro.
What's happening here is that there is no POS record in the database. If you look at the "Target" field in the POS table, you'll likely see that this field is blank. If it's blank, it means there is no POS record in the database for this item.
SOLUTION:
The answer to this problem is to click the PLUS SIGN in the POS TABLE window. This will create a POS record for this item. Alternately, you can delete the entire item and start over fresh. To delete an item in the database click the MINUS sign in the "Main Item" window. A message will pop up telling you that you're about to destroy the entire record. Click Yes and destroy that item. Then scan the item again and it will prompt you to create the item from scratch again.
