The system allows you to perform balancing any time you'd like. You could even potentially balance drawers a week later if you so desired. There is one additional step to do when you balance for a previous date. You must change the global date.
Before you enter the balancing section of SMS, there is a drop down menu at the top of the screen called "Log". Click that, and then select "Change Global Date".
The system will then ask you to enter the date in 8 digit format. For example April 1st 2020 would be written as 04012020. You must enter all 8 digits or it won't work. Then click submit.
Once you perform the global date change, then go into the balancing module. You should see the date is now blinking red on the left hand side of the screen. This is there to help remind you that you have backdated the system.
From this point forward, everything you do in balancing will act as if it was done on the previous day.
Remember to change the date back to today's date when you are finished.
