Counting Down a Drawer (Report)
There are two ways store count down a drawer.
1. Quick and dirty
The quick and dirty way people count down a drawer is just by pulling a report and counting the drawer down. Many stores have their own forms, or excel documents, or deposit sheets where they store their information, and it's fine if this is how you'd like to do it.
The report you want to pull is called Operator Multi Total report. Specifically, the cash total you need to look at is the line that says DWR CASH. This will tell you exactly how much money should be in that cashier's drawer.

2. Using the balancing module
The balancing module is a program in SMS where you take the values that you count from the drawers and punch them into the backoffice computer. This subject will be covered in a different section of the learning center. The benefit of doing it this way is that the system allows you to keep track of short and overs, over a period of time. The drawback to doing it this way is that it takes more time.
