eSuite – Items – Manage Restrictions

Restrictions allow you to control the availability of items by setting limitations or rules for sales. In eSuite, you can create and manage these limitations using the Restriction table.
The assistant, manager, owner, and programmer levels bypass sales restrictions by default. See your reseller for details.
Create restrictions
The Restriction table is available from the launcher in the following eSuite modules: Care, Manage, Buy, Sell, and Batch.
To display the Restriction table:
- Click the down arrow in the Items entry to expand its menu.

- Click on Item auxiliaries to open the Item auxiliaries start window.
- Click on Restrictors.

- In the Restriction list, click on a record to select it.

- Click Edit in the bottom menu to display the Restriction table.

Create a restriction
You can create a restriction from the Restriction list or table.
Follow these steps:
- Click “+” Add in the list or table toolbar. The new Restriction table is displayed.

- Enter the restriction level (mandatory).
- Enter the description and the values of the corresponding Start and Stop fields.
In this example, we are restricting the sale of alcohol to Sundays from 06:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

- Click Save in the toolbar or press Enter on your keyboard to save the changes.
- Click Refresh from the bottom menu of the Restriction list to see your entry displayed.
Link items to restrictions
After configuring the Restriction table, you must link the item to the restriction level. Follow these steps:
- Select the item in the Items - General list.
- From the POS master table from the bottom menu of the grid.

- Click Edit in the bottom menu and select Master tables, then POS master.
- Select the required restriction from the Restrictor field.

- Save the changes and Deploy Auxiliaries from the Tools>Deploy>Auxiliaries Menu.
