Information
The eSuite software provides tools for copying information from an existing item and creating a new one. The information that will be copied to the new record is selected in the Copy item window and edited in the Item creation table.
Once you create the new items, you must deploy the changes in the database and send the latest information to the network's front-end workstations and cash registers.
Display the Copy item window
In the launcher, click the arrow in the Items entry to expand its menu.
- Click on Master: the Start window opens in the Items work area.
- Click on Item list to open the wizard.
- Enter the search criteria.
- Click on Execute: results will display in the Items - General list window.
- Select the item that you want to duplicate.
- Click Copy current item to a new item in the toolbar or press Ctrl+D on the keyboard.
The Item creation table opens on the desktop, with the Copy item window overlapping it.
Copy the current item to a new item
The Item creation table allows you to copy the current item to a new one through the Copy item window.
When you create a new item starting from an existing one, you must choose and filter information carefully. Through Check all, Uncheck all, and the checkboxes, the Copy item window is the utility that enables this process to be efficient and time-saving.
To copy the current item to a new one:
- Select a record from the grid and click Copy current item to a new item in the toolbar.
- In the Copy item window, enter a value in the New UPC field.
- Select the required checkboxes.
- Click Confirm to save the changes and close the window.
The Item creation table displays the new item with the copied information. - Make any required modifications.
- Save the changes and close the Item creation table.
- Refresh the item grid to see the new record.
- Deploy the changes.
